Metal Workshop
Located in room G06C of The Squarehouse (Building E4)

The Metal Workshop is a space equipped with a large range of equipment for work with sheet metal, wire and metal tube.

The Metal Workshop houses a large range of manual equipment for the cutting and working of sheet metal such as a guillotine, English wheels, sheet metal forming press, a range of cutting dies and tools, plus various benders. In addition, there is a metal bandsaw and drill press.

In the welding bay we have various TIG, MIG and spot welders available for students to use (after suitable training). To facilitate the best results, there are two nitrided welding tables available with precision jigging. For finishing work, there is a sandblasting cabinet.

A new hydraulic pipe bender is also available with a 10 ft positioning table. This will allow precision bending of metal tubing up to 2.5” diam.
