The Wet Room is a dedicated facility supporting coursework, capstone projects, and research activities only. It provides an appropriate environment to work with clay and other wet materials, accommodating both traditional hand-building methods and digitally driven processes.
The space houses a 3D Potter and a Deltawasp 40100 Clay printer, enabling large-format and experimental ceramic additive manufacturing. We support users in preparing files for clay printing, material preparation, printer setup, and safe operation, as well as guidance on forming, drying, and finishing processes.
Shelving is available for the controlled drying of printed or moulded items. Access to the ceramic 3D printers is restricted to course work and research projects only, users must completed the Ceramic 3D Printer Badge (C-3D). Bookings are made in person, and fees apply for materials and machine time.
