Complete required badges to gain access to our space and equipment

Users must complete Badge training prior to accessing labs and machines at the Design Futures Lab. If you are unsure which badge training to complete read the information below or search the machine database to learn what badge you require to access particular machines.

Most Badges are recognised across the multiple locations within the UNSW Makerspace Network. To learn more about accessing the UNSW Makerspace Network head to the UNSW Making Website.

Built Environment | Required Badges

Built Environment Users

School of Built Environment users must complete Workshop Safety Induction (WS) Badge and Digital Fabrication (DF) Badge in order to access machines and equipment required to complete their coursework.

All Other Users

We welcome users from outside of the School of Built Environment however during the start of semester we intensively train Built Environment students so are mostly unable to accept training enrolments from other user groups.
