The Kirby Makerspace has 3 laser cutters ready for you to cut your next project! Once you have gained access to the Makerspace by completing your Workshop Safety Badge you can then go on to complete training to use the laser cutters. Most of the training involves online modules, then once you have drawn up your file drop by the makerspace to start cutting. Material can be purchased from the makerspace or sourced externally but restrictions do apply to ensure the safety of our users & machines.

All 3D printing is done through our 3D printing hub. The 3D printing hub is an online service that brings together a range of 3D printing technologies which you can access from anywhere! Follow the link below to find out more about how you can submit your files to be printed.

Note: Print jobs submitted within the Engineering Faculty will be printed in the Elec Makerspace and will need to be collected from the same location.
