Overwhelmed by all these machines and strange terminology?

Let's start at the very beginning!

3D printing is an additive manufacturing technology that helps us turn digital files into 3D physical parts. It is a great method for creating complex geometries at a lower cost and using less material than traditional manufacturing methods.

Types of 3D Printing at UNSW:

  • FDM
  • SLA
  • CFF
  • MFF

Know what you're doing and ready to get started?

Send us your file through the form adjacent to get the 3D printing process started!

The form will ask for information about which faculty/school you are from, this is to help us know the most appropriate makerspace to print your model. You will be notified of which makerspace your model will be printed at along the way so you know where to collect it from.
