Annabelle McEwen (She/They) is an artist and educator based on unceded Gadigal and Bidjigal Land (Eora/Sydney), holding a Master of Fine Art. With a practice grounded in critical material and image‑making processes, Annabelle brings both technical expertise and conceptual depth to their teaching. Their work has been widely recognised through awards and residencies, including the 2025 Summer Fellowship at the State Library of NSW, the 2025 Waverley Artist Studio Residency, and the Ellen O’Shaughnessy Printmaking Award (2019). Annabelle has also been a finalist in major national prizes such as the National Photographic Portrait Prize (2024), the Mullins Conceptual Photography Prize (2023–2025), and the Burwood Art Prize (2023).
