Wet Lab

Adjacent to the main textiles teaching space is the facility’s Wet Lab. Relocated and remodeled not long ago, the wet lab provides students with a convenient emporium of tools, chemistry, and appliances integral to generating textiles using wet processes.

Enjoy the possibilities and compelling results of wet lab techniques like synthetic and natural immersive dying, wet felting, eco-bundle steaming, thermoplastics, and bioplastics.

Textiles Click & Collect

The textiles facilities have collectively prospered under the new management of The Making Centre team and its stakeholders. Regardless, we dutifully continue to develop and enhance where possible. Students can expect greater capabilities in the field of sustainability with the looming introduction of re-use technologies like industrial textile shredders. Keep an eye out for expansions to our Digital and Wet Labs too.
