The Textiles Studio badge will teach particiapnts Health and Safety relating to, and effective use of the Textiles Studio, sewing machines and industrial steam irons. 

Participants will learn how to wind a bobbin, load a bobbin, thread up the machine, sew a basic straight stitch, troubleshoot stitch tension issues, the parts of the sewing machine and their functions, and how to use the industrial steam iron. 

Participants are required to wear enclosed footwear and tie back long hair.
