3D Scanner
Learn how to use the EinScan SE and SP 3D Scanners.
This badge is fully online although you will be required to perform a scan under a staff supervision in order to pass the practical session. No booking is needed.
This badge will give you the necessary knowledge to safely use the EinScan SE and SP 3D Scanners in the Elec Makerspace.
Even though the devices are safe to use, an understanding of the equipment is necessary to maximise the outcome of your scanning session and to ensure a correct use of the scanners.
The badge is fully online, you will be guided through a series of videos to get you familiarised with the equipment and its sofware.
A practical session is needed to obtain the badge, no booking is necessary just come in to the Elec Makerspace and proof your skills with a succesfull scan session.

Once you have earnt this badge you will be granted access to the following machines:

Please read the Safe Work Procedures document at the link below. You may be asked to enter your zID and zPass to access the document. Instructions for use are in the tab 'SWP Steps'. Then check the declaration below on this page and press 'Submit'.

Get familiar with the hardware that you will be working with.
You won't be required to perform a set up of the scanner as the device is already in place and ready for you to use. But you will need to get familiar with the scanner and the set up procedure so that you can identify possible issues and troubleshoot when necessary.
