CNC Mill -Level 2 Badge
Advanced CNC milling badge demonstrating independent machining through project-based work.
This badge represents advanced competency in CNC milling, enabling users to independently plan, set up, and execute machining tasks on CNC mills (Robodrill) within RoboLAB.
Prerequisites:

CNC Mill Fundamentals and Safety Badge, and
-
CNC Machining Basics Badge
To achieve this badge, participants must:
-
Complete a minimum of 20 hours of project work

Demonstrate required competency level and machining complexity during these hours
-
Safely operate the CNC mill with minimal supervision
-
Apply correct setup, tooling selection, workholding, and program verification
-
Follow all safety requirements, SWPs, and workshop protocols throughout
This badge confirms that the user can independently carry out CNC milling tasks, manage machining workflows, and produce components to an acceptable standard within the Makerspace environment.
This module is used to record the CNC milling project work completed as part of the CNC Mill – Level 2 Badge.
To be eligible for this badge, users must:

Complete a minimum of 20 hours of CNC milling project work

Demonstrate increasing competency and complexity in machining tasks

Safely operate the CNC mill while following all RMF, SWP, and workshop requirements

Perform correct setup, tooling, workholding, and program verification
All sessions must be conducted under appropriate supervision and must be recorded.
Important:

Users must ensure that TSG staff are informed and available during each session

Users are responsible for confirming that their training hours are recorded and signed off by TSG staff

Hours not recorded or verified will not count towards badge completion
This training log does not by itself grant the badge. The badge will only be issued once TSG staff confirm that the required hours and competency level have been achieved.
