The Textiles Dye Lab Badge covers Health and Safety in the Textiles Dye Lab, including use of related equipment.

The Textiles Dye Lab Badge will teach participants Health and Safety relating to, and effective use of the Textiles Dye Lab and related requipment. 

Participants will learn how to set up dye pots and steamers for textiles dyeing, the application of mordants, weighing fibres and dye stuffs, effective process note taking and accessing relevant resources for further self-directed research and practice. 

Participants are required to wear enclosed footwear and tie back long hair. Protective eyewear, gloves and aprons are provided.
