The Textiles Knitting Machine Badge covers Health and Safety relating to, and effective use of the SilverReed SK280 standard guage single- and double-bed knitting machines.

The Textiles Knitting Machine Badge will teach participants Health and Safety relating to, and effective use of the SilverReed SK280 standard guage single- and double-bed knitting machines.

Participants will learn how to thread the machine, cast on, knit a tension swatch, change yarn colours, drop stitches, correct dropped stitches, knit a pattern using a punch card, and cast off. 

Participants are required to wear enclosed footwear and tie back long hair.
