Toolroom Basic Metal
The Basic Metal badge will involve an introduction to Health and safety and etiquette in the Toolroom Metal workshop. It is essential to granting students access to the workshops and equipment.
During this induction students will get important information about workshop H&S in The Toolroom Metal Workshop. Information about hazards, neccessary Personal Protective Equipment, safety equipment and workshop Do's and Dont's .
Students will be required to make a simple object from sheetmetal using a number of machines and hand tools. These include the Metal Guillotine, Punches, Rollers, Benders and Rivet Gun .
Please attend in covered footware and appropriate clothing.
