Entry level induction to sheet metal working processes

Sheet Metal Fundamentals Badge image

Learn practical sheet metal fabrication skills in this 2 hour group badge training session during which you will make a sheet metal dust pan. This badge training session is assessed and if you are deemed competent you will receive your Sheet Metal Fundamentals Badge.

Machine Access

Once you have learnt this badge you will be granted access to the following machines:

  • Bead Roller
  • Bench Press
  • Drill Press
  • English Wheel
  • Guillotine
  • Magnabend/Panbrake
  • Metal Bandsaw
  • Sheet Metal Roller
  • Shrinker Stretchers
  • Welders (Spot)

Badge Training

Important information:

  1. Closed shoes must be worn and long hair must be tied back
  2. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session start time, if you arrive late you will be asked to come back at another session. 
  3. Our Makerspace Safety Induction is highly sought after and very limited. If you can not make the class, please make sure to cancel your registration so others can take your place.
