The Film Processing Badge is a 2hrs in-person induction that covers step-by-step instruction on how to develop black and white (not C41) film. Students are expected to complete the Film Processing Safety Badge before attending the induction. The induction includes learning how to load film onto reels in manual developing tanks, manual chemical tank developing, film dryer, and all safety equipment in the film processing lab. Please wear non absorbent, fully enclosed shoes when working the film processing lab (DB02).

In order to be eligible to book-in to attend the induction for Film Processing Practical, you MUST complete the prerequisite modules - https://www.making.unsw.edu.au/access/badges/b/film-processing-safety/

Important note: Students with sensitive skin and other health conditions, such as respiratory conditions and pregnancy, should come and have a chat with us at the Resource Centre before attending the induction.
