Introduction to soldering in the Makerspace Network.

This badge gives students and staff an introduction to soldering through-hole components, using soldering irons, de-soldering tools, electronic hand tools and testing facilities!

Prerequisites:

  • Workshop Safety Badge

How to complete:

To complete the badge, you will need to read the Safe Work Procedure, do a little pre-reading in the online modules below, and undertake a Basic Soldering Badge Training session.

In this session, you will learn the basics of through hole soldering. This training is required to use the soldering facilities in the Elec Makerspace and it is a prerequisite for the Advanced Soldering Badge.
