Brew Badge
This Badge is required to use the Chem. Eng. equipment found in the MCIC Makerspace.
Our priority is making sustainable practices while teaching Chem Eng students hands-on skills.
This is not exclusive to Chem. Eng. but they will be prioritised.
The MCIC Makerspace is not a food-safe facility. All food processed in the space during teaching and learning activities / experimentation are not fit for consumption. Eating and drinking in the Makerspace is strictly prohibited.
Machine Access
Once you have learnt this badge you will be granted access to the following machines:
- Industrial Dehydrator
- KitchenAid - Pasta Attachments
- EK43 Coffee Grinder
- Induction Cooker
- IKAWA Roasting System
- Coffee Machine
- French Press
- Instant Pot Duo

Instead please complete the above online learning components and then speak with Makerspace Staff in person to arrange some Badge Training on this machine. Regular training is set up for Chem. Eng. students within their course.
Once a user has been deemed competent on the machine they will receive the associated Badge.
