Safe Handling of Liquid Nitrogen training provided by an external contractor, Coregas.
- Properties and hazards of liquid nitrogen (cryogenic risks, oxygen displacement, frostbite, etc.
- PPE requirements
- Safe handling and transfer procedures (including goods lift use in SEB)
- Storage and venting best practices
- Decanting liquid nitrogen from dewar and safe disposal of residual liquid nitrogen
- Understanding oxygen deficiency monitors and alarm systems
- Emergency response (spills, exposure, oxygen deficiency)

- Closed shoes and safety glasses must be worn, and no loose clothing/jewellery.
- Please arrive 10 minutes before the session start time, if you arrive late you will be asked to come back at another session.
- Our Handling Liquid Nitrogen Training is highly sought after and very limited. If you cannot make the class, please make sure to cancel your registration so others can take your place.
