Learn how to Laser Cut with the Trotec Speedy 360/400 Laser Cutters!

After learning - read the SWP and set up your file. When you're ready come into one of the Makerspaces and show us you can laser cut and we can mark your training as complete
Machine Access
Once you have earnt this badge you will be granted access to the following machines:
- Laser Cutter (Speedy 360)
- Laser Cutter (Speedy 400)
- Laser Marker (RayJet U300)
The Learn Module is the first step to learning how to laser cut your own designs. Follow the module for how to get set up, download the templates and how to use the different pieces of softwares, along with tips and tricks of how to optimise your cut!

Follow the steps on the laser cutting guide to set up an induction cut with your name and zID as an engraving
BEFORE you start your cut check in with a staff member and tell them you are doing your practical induction, they will check your laser cutting settings and talk to you about banned laser cut materials and remind you of how to control fire risks in the laser cutter.
There's no formal bookings for this practical, just come in to the Kirby Makerspace during Opening hours.
