The Metal Mill – Level 2 Badge certifies that the holder has demonstrated advanced competency in the safe and effective use of manual milling machines in RoboLAB.

Prerequisite
To enrol in this badge,

To obtain this badge, users must:

  • Complete a minimum of 20 hours of project work using manual milling machines
  • Demonstrate safe and correct machine operation
  • Complete work at the required level of complexity and competency
  • Work under the guidance and approval of RoboLAB technical staff (TSG)

All project work must be recorded and verified by technical staff through the training log.

Successful completion confirms that the user can operate manual milling machines independently and safely, and is capable of undertaking more complex machining tasks within RoboLAB.

Metal Mill - Training Log | Log and complete a minimum of 20 hours of Metal milling; all sessions must be recorded.
Metal Mill Level 2 - Training Log

This module is used to record and track the 20 hours of required project work for the Metal Mill – Level 2 Badge.

Users must:

• complete a minimum of 20 hours of project work using manual milling machines
• perform work at the required level of complexity and competency
• follow all safety procedures and correct machining practices
• work under the supervision or guidance of RoboLAB technical staff (TSG)

All hours must be:

• recorded in the training log
• verified and signed off by TSG staff
• completed using approved machines in RoboLAB

Users must ensure that TSG staff are available before commencing any training session and confirm that their hours are recorded after each session.

Successful completion of this module is required before the Metal Mill – Level 2 Badge can be granted.
