SLA 3D Printing

Learn how to operate Formlabs series Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printing equipment.

Please note - this badge is available for School of Biomedical Engineering Postgrads and Staff only. Users must already have been inducted to the PC2 Labs on Level 4 of the Samuels Building (F25).

This badge will introduce you to the Formlabs series of resin 3D printers. You will learn how to safely operate this equipment, including slicing software, printer, washing/curing, how to adequately handle resins and how to safely post-process printed parts. 

Once complete, this badge will give you access to hands-on printing using the Formlabs machines in the Samuels Building PC2 Labs on Level 4.

Learn Module: Resin/SLA Printing

A guide to get you started designing and printing parts on our FormLabs Resin Printers - you don't have to have this memorised, but having a read through will give you a crash course in using the technology as is a handy reference for in future!

Practical Component
Badge Training

This 30-minute practical training will review all topics discussed in the the online module, as well as put you through the completion of your first print. We will have a demo models ready to go, but bringing your own projects is actively encouraged!
