The Textiles Table Loom Badge will teach participants Health and Safety relating to, and effective use of the 8-shaft table loom.

Participants will learn how to achieve a plain weave and a twill weave on pre-threaded table looms. Due to the significant time commitment weaving requires, the induction will verbally address planning a plain and twill weave fabric, including desired size, material choice, weave structure, calculating sett, warp length, winding the warp, loading the loom, threading the heddles acording to a pattern draft, tying off and tensioning the warp, weaving, removing and finishing a project.

Participants are required to wear enclosed footwear and tie back long hair.
